Beautiful Burk’s Rainbow Arch Bridge

Thus far it’s been a rainy and cold May, with few chances to get out to enjoy a tour in the convertible. Fortunately, yesterday was sunny and warm so I had a beautiful drive in the Aston martin db9. I am glad I had the opportunity to get out, as it’s back to heavy rain today!

This photo shows the historic 1934 Burk’s Bridge in the township of Adjala-Tosorontio in Simcoe County, Ontario.

The bridge is a reinforced concrete rainbow arch (bowstring) bridge and carries Concession Road 5 over the Nottawasaga River. In spite of its age, it remains in great condition and adds a charm to the rural countryside.

Hopefully it will have many more years of use!
